Simon has a very strong background in market research, audience measurement, marketing and publishing. Specifically he has worked at ANOP Research Services and Millward Brown in Australia and in the UK. Most recently he was the Marketing and Circulation Director at Fairfax Media’s Financial Review Group (FRG) and prior to that he was involved with the research, customer insights and data management for FRG. He now heads up the MediaCT team in Australia for Ipsos.
Throughout his career Simon specialised in market research, media research, digital marketing, brand strategy, communications research, business development, PR and communications strategy and planning. He has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Government and a Masters of International Studies, both from the University of Sydney.
NZ Managing Director
Ipsos New Zealand
With a research career spanning 20 years, Diane has now moved into the Managing Director role for Ipsos New Zealand. She continues to make good use of her natural curiosity and tenacity by helping businesses and organisations understand more about their markets, and to make decisions with confidence. Bringing the voice of the people to the decision-making table across a wide range of industries has created a wealth of knowledge for her to call on in a constantly evolving environment.
Diane is also a talented focus group moderator and interviewer, with solid analytical skills. She has successfully completed a large number of qualitative projects stretching across a wide spectrum of topics, and has proved to have solid skills as a quantitative analyst as well.
Diane specialises in financial services markets and the 55+ population. She currently works closely with IAG, Southern Response and The Selwyn Foundation and has experience across a wide range of clients and a broad range of industries.

Senior Director of Operations ANZ
Ipsos Australia & New Zealand
Heading up the operations division for Ipsos NZ and Australia, Michelle came to Ipsos (then Research Solutions) from TNS NZ, where she was an Analytical Director managing the Analytical and Coding division.
Michelle is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the data collection and processing activities, including the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided, skill development and quality of work. Michelle drives the development and direction of the team and its systems infrastructure to ensure client expectations are met.
With over 20 years in market research, Michelle has a passion for online research, and she played a major role in developing the online research arm of TNS NZ before joining Ipsos. She has a great understanding of how to use correct, well-managed panels and how to avoid the pitfalls in using the wrong ones. She also has a broad understanding of the technical aspects of surveying across many other methodologies, including CATI, face-to-face and self-completion, and has a particular interest in big data and advanced analytics.

HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Marty is an accomplished senior human resources leader with more than 20 years’ of progressive experience. He has worked across a range of industries and sectors and has been successful at translating business strategies into people and culture strategies in order to improve performance, increase engagement, enhance collaboration and strengthen organisational capabilities.
With three young and energetic children, Marty and his wife have a busy family life. Aside from that, he enjoys running, gardening and watching rugby and cricket when time allows.

Gillian is Marketing Director for Ipsos Australia. She joined us from Ipsos MORI in the UK where she was Director of Communications. Gillian is a marketing and communications professional with over 13 years’ industry experience. She leads all marketing activities for the Australian business and also supports the Asia Pacific region in driving strategy and embedding marketing practices.
Gillian holds a Masters Degree in Public Relations, BA (Hons) in Sociology and Psychology and a CIM Diploma in Marketing Management.
Gillian lives in Sydney’s Northern Beaches with her husband and two sons and enjoys travel, shopping and going on family adventures.
Ipsos Public Affairs
Mark has over 20 years market and social research experience in senior management, account management, project management, statistical and data analysis roles.
Mark holds a BA (Hons) in statistics from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Social Statistics) from Swinburne University, and is also Qualified Practicing Market Research (QPMR) accredited. He is a member of the Statistical Society of Australia and the Australian Market & Social Research Society (AMSRS) and has been on the advisory committee of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Swinburne University for over 10 years.
His research areas of expertise include project methodology development, mixed mode projects, sampling, weighting, logistics, data management and automated reporting, in particular for large and complex surveys.
Gary leads Ipsos Loyalty in Australia, working with organisations to understand and build better customer experiences and to build more profitable customer relationships.
He has an extensive background in business leadership, consulting and research in Australia and Asia working with leading brands.
Ipsos Marketing & Health
Gillian is an experienced consumer research expert with 18 years experience in research and marketing. Her experience ranges across an array of industries (CPG, healthcare, financial services, tourism, telecommunications and utilities), and research techniques. For the past 8 years she has led large teams of researchers and provided strategic consulting to major local and global clients.
She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Masters of Business (Marketing).
