Ipsos is the third largest global market and social research organisation, and undertakes political polling in over 30 countries including the UK, USA, Canada, France, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, South Africa and Argentina. It has a track record of success in predicting the correct outcome, with high levels of accuracy in elections around the world.

In Australia, Ipsos is the second largest market and social research organisation. Working for Fairfax Media, our team carry out ten national polls a year and regular polling leading up to the critical state elections. Each national poll comprises 1,400 telephone interviews with members of the public, using random digit dialling of landlines and mobile phones.

The national poll of 1,403 respondents, shows the Labor party on 51% (up 1.4 points since the Federal Election), with the Coalition on 49% (down 1.4 points since the Federal Election), based on 2016 election preferences.
